About Me
Hi, I'm Iza! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background that might surprise you. Before becoming a clinician, I built a career in the fashion industry, working in New York City and Los Angeles after graduating from Kent State University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. It was a world I loved — creative, fast-paced, and full of beauty. But when Covid arrived and the world slowed down, I found myself drawn to something a little different. I wanted to help people, in a real and meaningful way, so I enrolled in Antioch University's Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology program and discovered another calling.
These days, I get to honor both sides of myself. As a therapist, I show up to every session with warmth, curiosity, and genuine care, using a personalized, integrative approach so we can work together at a pace that feels right for you. Outside of the therapy room, I channel my creative energy into my own fine jewelry brand, and when I'm not designing, you'll find me practicing yoga, going on walks, or cooking for friends. I believe creativity and healing go hand in hand, and I bring both into everything I do.
My Approach
My approach is rooted in the belief that the mind and body are deeply connected, and that lasting change requires tending to all of you.
-
Healing looks different for everyone. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Play Therapy, and Therapeutic Art Techniques (for stress reduction) to build an approach that is uniquely yours.
-
I show up as a real person in the room with you. Warm, approachable, and genuinely invested in your journey. I'll meet you where you are, guide you with care, and never push harder than you're ready for.
-
I believe the best therapy starts with genuine curiosity about who you are, what shaped you, and what's possible for you. I'll never assume I have all the answers. We figure it out together.
